Fishing has improved dramatically at Pitsford


The fishing has improved dramatically at Pitsford with fish on the feed in the cooler conditions. This week’s rod average is 5.6 with many great conditioned fish in the 4-5lb bracket being caught.

37lb 2oz pike caught at Grafham


The predator fishing at Grafham has been outstanding with Gary Edmonds landing a Pike of 37lb 2oz. Trout anglers have also had a great week with the biggest Rainbow weighing in at 6lb.

Tremendous week at Rutland Water


A tremendous week at Rutland Water with a rod average of 5.44. Boat anglers are enjoying great sport, especially last Wednesday during the four man team event with all 44 competitors catching their eight fish limits.

Floating line among best methods


Best methods this week have been floating line, with small dries like hoppers, small daddies or cdc’s. Washing line tactics with crunchers or small diawl bachs has also been working with a f.a.b. on the point.

Mixed weather brings mixed results


Another mixed bag weather wise this week saw the fishing bring mixed results. The rod average for the week is 3.4 with some good catches when conditions were favourable.

Best rainbow of the week is 4lb


Mr P Paraskeva took the best Rainbow of the week at 4lb. Well done to Dave Cove who had ten fish to his boat which was a very good effort, given the tough weather conditions this week.

Boat fishing enjoying the best sport


Anglers fishing from the boats are enjoying the best sport at Rutland Water with the majority of fish being caught out in open water, especially the main basin around X and V buoys.

Sporadic fishing at Ravensthorpe


Fishing during the week has been sporadic with some good days followed by more challenging conditions. Fish are still in the top 2 feet of water. Mr Dighton had 16 fish on a claret hopper.
